This competition is part of the NJ Basic Skills Competition Series. Skaters participating in Freeskating and/or Compulsory/Elements events are eligible to for accumulating points for in the following levels: Basic 1-8, Freeskate 1-6, Limited Beginner, Beginner and No Test. (Pre-Preliminary, Preliminary, and separate events for Team Maneuvers and Interpretive are not eligible for points in the competition series)

The Skating Club of Bridgewater Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet will be held at Chimney Rock Inn, Bridgewater, NJ on Sunday, April 27th from 2:00-4:00pm.
You will be receiving an invitation in the mail shortly along with a listing of open board member position for the upcoming skating season (Vice President, Treasurer, Events Chair and Membership Chair). The Kern Trophy for outstanding achievement in figure skating is awarded each year to an eligible skater who is a home club member in good standing of a New Jersey USFS figure skating club. Please prepare a report based on the revised point system for passing tests or entering competitions during the calendar year beginning January 1st and ending December 31st, 2013. Please email application to Club Secretary Louise Traylor by April 12th, 2014 to allow for consolidation before being submitted in May to NJ Council to be considered.

The Graduating Seniors Program was developed to recognize the achievements of those individuals graduating from high school who have made the commitment to continue their training in figure skating while pursuing their academic studies.
The purpose of this program is to honor and credit those qualified graduates for their achievements during their high school years through the presentation of a certificate to the skater during a school function or recognition opportunity.
